Daddy's Girl
My dad was my idea of the perfect man. He could work hard in the mines and come out covered in coal dust, but to see him any other time, the man was the definition of fresh. When he went out, he was always dressed to the nines; I’m sure I got my love of fashion from him. Every time my mom and I went shopping, we had to give him a fashion show wearing what we’d bought. He never...

The movie I saw that I really didn't want to see
So I went to see Bridesmaids with my daughter today (even though I really, really, really wanted to see Super 8) and it was surprisingly funny. Like, LOL at the theater funny. Glad i went, but I will see Super 8. Even if I have to go myself. Why does no one in my circle of friends and family like what I like? Very frustrating.

Printing From Your iPad
File this one under It’s so awesome, it’s probably illegal. The release of iOS 4.2 for the iPad had me waiting for a few new features. Multitasking for sure, but the other was more useful and more mundane. Printing. Specifically, printing wirelessly using Apple’s Airprint feature. Well, seems that it didn’t quite get implemented the way we all had hoped. It only worked with a limited number...

The Joy of Victory, The Agony of Defeat
i get so stressed this time of year, so much to do, no time to do it all. So stressed that I do stupid shit like rip burned out Chritmas lights from the branches of the tree with so much force I pull the damn thing down. Or lay on my horn for 5 minutes passive aggressively bitching out the frumpy middle aged twat who cut me off in WalMart’s parking lot. Or flip on my daughter for spilling a...

The Ultimate Battle
While cleaning out a gargantuan amount of old email, I found this cute little joke. Kind of dated, but still funny. Jesus and Satan were having an ongoing argument about who was better on his computer. They had been going at it for days, and God was tired of hearing all the bickering. Finally, God said, “Cool it. I am going to set up a test which will take two hours and I will judge who...
